This might be the luckiest dude ever. He was prepared, probably felt amazing, was doing the right thing, seen by a woman, on camera, and winner of the fight. His coworkers are going to hear about this for years, probably at multiple restaurants and I hope he saves the video for proof. Fucking legend.

I think it’s way harder to do this in a self-defense context. It’s one thing to train in a controlled environment against people not exactly trying to hurt you that are using common techniques. Add aggression, belligerence, and messy ass techniques, and I think a lot of people would freeze up. Good on this dude for sticking to his bob and weave, and focusing on straight punches inside of the wild punches that come out in these moments. I do selfishly wish that short left hook had landed at the end though…
